I am excited to announce that I provide Teletherapy services to my current and new patients in Suffolk County, all of Long Island, and across the entire state of New York. I find that it can be an effective way to deliver mental health services. The term “telehealth services” can be defined broadly to include all interactions that are not in-person between health care professionals and their patients. There are potential benefits such as increased accessibility to care, increased health safety, and patient convenience. Regulators and insurers, however, often use much narrower definitions of telehealth services, depending on what particular services they are trying to regulate or reimburse. Please be aware of your specific insurance policy.
Whether you're in Wading River, Shoreham, Riverhead, Rocky Point, Middle Island, Manorville, New York City, Albany, or anywhere in Suffolk County, Long Island or New York State, contact Dr. Allyson Carlson to get started with a telehealth appointment.
